Who are the Ascended Masters?
The term “ascended masters” refers to members of the Great White Brotherhood, spoken of in Revelation 7 as the great multitude of saints “clothed with white robes” who stand before the throne of God. The term “White” does not refer to race, but to the white light that surrounds these saints from East and West who have made their transition and ascended back to the higher realms. The Brotherhood works with earnest seekers and public servants of every race, religion and walk of life to assist humanity in their forward evolution.
According to The Summit LighthouseⓇ website: www.tsl.org, “The ascended masters are the most beloved and trusted transcendent beings guiding our planet’s material and spiritual evolution. Most of the world’s religions are currently based on the revelations of one or more of these masters before their ascension.
The teachings of the Ascended Masters as we experience them today, were all released through highly trained and trusted messengers, Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet. Mark was contacted by the Ascended Master El Morya at the age of eighteen and received training from him for many years before he was instructed to establish The Summit Lighthouse in 1958 in Washington D.C. With his ascension in 1973, Mark passed the torch for the mission to his gifted wife, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, who continued her service until her retirement in 1999.
The dictations of the ascended masters were regularly given in public. The ascended masters also inspired thousands of lectures delivered by the messengers. The content of the dictations are, by most human standards, beyond the mind’s ability to construct in real time. They carry very powerful frequencies of light, awakening us to the highest truths we’ve ever experienced.”
I first encountered the teachings when I was fifteen years old. My uncle came home one day with a book which he threw at my grandmother with the challenge, “I bet you don’t know anything about this!” My grandmother, who was searching for a higher meaning in life, took on the challenge and read the book. Convinced that she had found the path she had been searching for, she offered it to me to read. That book was “The Chela and the Path” by El Morya. Little did I know that that book would change my life! As I read it, I had such a strong sense of familiarity with the topics. The strange thing was I felt that I knew all the concepts that the book covered, things like karma and reincarnation, things that I was never formally taught but somehow made total sense when I read about them. Things that I never consciously thought about before reading that book. Thus began my journey along the Path of Personal Christhood that I am still walking today, more than thirty years later, and one that I know that I will continue on until I climb the Highest Mountain!
